Maine Coon cats have a certain charm that is hard to resist. Their fluffy appearance, regal demeanor, and kind hearts make them incredibly endearing. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of owning one, you know just how special they are. Recently, two particularly striking Maine Coon cats from Virginia have been making waves online with their adorable poses and playful behavior. I had the opportunity to speak with their owner and she graciously allowed me to share pictures and stories about Paris and Pierre. So, settle in and get ready to learn more about this delightful feline duo.
The cats were asked about how they were named, and they responded in their own voices. Paris, the female cat, revealed that her full name is Paris Cosette. Her owners got engaged in Paris and have always been fond of France, and they named her after the romantic city. The name Cosette was taken from a character in Les Miserables, which happens to be their favorite play. On the other hand, Pierre, the male cat, shared that his full name is Pierre Monet, and he was named after a famous French painter. Just like his sister Paris, his owners wanted to give him a French-sounding name.
Can you describe the personalities of Paris and Pierre? Paris describes herself as a sophisticated and refined cat who displays affection only when she wants to. On the other hand, Pierre is often referred to as a “frat boy” by humans who know him. Despite being a Maine Coon, he behaves more like a golden retriever.

Have you ever wondered what your feline friends do in their leisure time? Let’s take a sneak peek into the lives of Paris and Pierre. Paris loves playing with her feather toy, which allows her to jump astonishingly high in the air, showcasing her athleticism. She also likes to splash around in her water bowl. On the other hand, Pierre is more fascinated with greeting and twirling for his fans who visit him at the door. He has also discovered how to turn on the tap and enjoys playing with water just like his sister. As far as their relationship goes, Paris tolerates her brother and enjoys playing hide-and-seek with him.
Pierre adores his sister Paris and doesn’t mind sharing his favorite spot with her. In fact, when she occupies it first, he just snuggles up on top of her and both of them enjoy the cuddle time together. It’s a situation where everyone wins!
Do Paris and Pierre produce the same chirping and trilling sounds as other Maine Coons?
Both of them do. They tend to chirp when they require attention, which is quite often. Additionally, these feline siblings spend a significant portion of their day trilling at the birds outside their windows, always yearning to catch them.
Is there anything unique about Paris and Pierre that people should know about?
Both cats are known for playing hard and loving even harder.
I extend my gratitude to Paris and Pierre’s owner for permitting me to share their lovely tale and delightful photographs with the readers of Cattitude Daily. For further information on this adorable duo of Maine Coon cats, feel free to visit their Instagram page.
