Amidst the ongoing feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, Jack Antonoff recently criticized the rapper by stating that he needs to have his diaper changed.
Jack, a singer-songwriter who often works closely with Taylor, is a close friend of the popular Love Story singer. The tension between Taylor, who is now 34, and Kanye West began back in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the VMAs, where she won the best female video award for her song You Belong With Me.
In recent weeks, Kanye, age 46, has dismissed rumors claiming that Taylor had him kicked out of the Super Bowl for attempting to steal her spotlight. He emphasized that he has actually been more beneficial than detrimental to her career.
In response to the ongoing criticism, producer Jack fired back, suggesting that the rapper is in desperate need of a diaper change.
Taylor’s loyal friend Jack confidently defends her songwriting skills, pointing to her impressive collection of 14 Grammy awards. However, Damon Albarn, best known as the frontman of Blur and Gorillaz, criticized the 34-year-old pop star in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, alleging that she doesn’t actually write her own music.
“I’ve never crossed paths with Damon Albarn, and he definitely seems to have a lot to say about the songs Taylor sends in,” Jack tweeted, jokingly calling the Englishman a ‘herb’ in reaction to his criticism. To me, he might be a nobody, but attacking my friend Taylor is off-limits. It’s like questioning someone’s faith – just don’t go there.
Jack, a ten-time Grammy winner who will be celebrating his 40th birthday next month, first met Taylor in 2012 while working on her song Sweeter than Fiction for the biopic One Chance. This film was based on the story of British Idol winner Paul Potts.
The talented producer has worked on several of Taylor’s albums including 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), 1989 (Taylor’s Version), and Midnights. Their collaboration has resulted in many hit songs over the years.
It is unclear whether Jack was involved in Taylor’s recent surprise release of her 11th studio album, Tortured Poets Department, which she unveiled during the 66th Grammy Awards.
